Goyojo V-RS Ultimate Jetboard Review

Electric jetboards are high powered surfboard with electric motor, built for raw speed. Unlike efoils, electric jetboards sit directly on the surface.

Here, I am breaking down the electric Goyojo V-RS Ultimate Jetboard.

Full disclosure right up front: I am completely new to jetboarding. If you are a beginner who has never strapped into a jet-driven system before, we are in the exact same boat. To give you the most honest, objective look at this board, I’m combining my perspective as a beginner with real-world testing data from more experienced rider who have pushed this exact board to its limits.

The Raw Specs: What You Need to Know

On paper, the Goyojo VRS Ultimate looks like a racing machine. It features a glossy carbon-fiber hull with a race-inspired paint job. Here is how the official specifications stack up against what you actually experience out on the water:

What It's Actually Like to Ride (Especially for Beginners)

If you are worried that a 15 kW motor is too intimidating for a first-timer, you can breathe easy. One of the most surprising takeaways from real-world testing is just how user-friendly this board is compared to an eFoil.

While an eFoil requires a delicate balancing act to control your altitude, a jetboard is much more intuitive. You simply stick your feet into the bindings, lean your weight forward, and commit to the throttle. Our testing shows that even absolute beginners who have never touched a motorised surfboard before are typically able to stand up and ride on their first or second attempt.

Riding Tip: Because this is a high-performance carbon hull, the board will sink slightly under your weight when standing completely still. The secret is to start from a dock, let it settle, and then give it immediate full throttle. This shoots the board up onto a plane instantly and prevents the jet intake from sucking in trapped air.

The Foot Binding Dilemma

The Goyojo comes equipped with foot straps (which can be adjusted for regular or goofy stances). If you have never used them, they can look a bit intimidating—no one wants to think about twisting an ankle during a wipeout. However, because they are open bindings, feet slip out easily during a fall. Furthermore, because the acceleration is so violent, you absolutely need those straps to keep the board from shooting out from below you.

The Good, The Bad, and The Honest

To keep this review objective, let's look at the genuine pros and cons of the Goyojo V-RS Ultimate.

The Pros

  • Unmatched Adrenaline: If you want raw speed, this is far more action-packed than an eFoil.

  • Wired Reliability: The hand throttle is physically cabled to the board. There is no wireless remote to lose Bluetooth connection when the board dips underwater.

  • Low Battery Performance: Unlike many electric watercraft that suffer from severe power drops when the battery gets low, the Goyojo still hits 50 km/h even with only 30% battery remaining.

  • Low Maintenance: Post-ride care is simple. Just rinse the hull thoroughly with fresh water after saltwater use and spray the battery contact points with a water-displacing lubricant like WD-40 to prevent corrosion.

  • The Cons

    • It is Heavy: At over 50 kg combined, hauling this down to the water is a workout. You will definitely want to carry the board and the battery down separately.

    • Carbon Scratches Easily: The glossy finish looks beautiful out of the box, but carbon fiber shows scratches quickly if it rubs against rocks, docks, or stray debris.

    • Noise and Wake: While quieter than a traditional gas-powered petrol board, it is significantly louder than an eFoil. It also creates a large wake, meaning it isn't suited for quiet, speed-restricted canals, rivers and marines where you might annoy local residents, swimmers or boats.

The Verdict: Who is This For?

The Goyojo VRS Ultimate Jetboard delivers incredible power and top-tier build quality for its price point. From the research I did online on famous JetSurf Electric 2 board, top speed of Goyojo V-RS Ultimate, in practice, maches JetSurf Electric 2 and comes at significantly lower price.

If your goal is to go on long, peaceful, two-hour sightseeing cruises with friends, you might find an eFoil more your speed. But if you want raw action, high-speed carving, and an instant rush of adrenaline, this jetboard is incredibly hard to beat—even if you are a total beginner.
